Although Oculus Quest is an amazing VR device, it can run out of battery halfway through a game. You may be notified that the controller needs to be charged, but you won’t know how long it will last. First, you need to open the battery compartment cover. This is usually located on the inside of the controller’s grip. Make sure you don’t pull the cover apart with your finger. If you do, it can break.
After opening the battery compartment, slide the eject compartment upwards. Once you do, you will see a small eject symbol. There is also a button in this section, which is used to view the level of the battery. While the eject symbol is meant to be a reference, it can help you to identify where to place the new battery.
Next, insert the new battery into the compartment. The battery should be placed according to the markings. For instance, the pin side of the battery should be facing the end of the controller. Lastly, close the battery compartment. In the meantime, charge your controller with a charger.
Changing the battery in your Oculus controller is a relatively easy process. But it’s crucial to follow the instructions closely. Otherwise, you could damage your controller or the battery.
Before replacing the battery, it’s important to note that your Oculus Quest 2 will have to be charged before you can use it again. Your new batteries should be AA or 1.5 Volt rechargeable or disposable batteries. Some batteries will explode if exposed to high temperatures or fire. Keep these batteries away from children and keep them out of reach until they are repaired.

When you are finished changing the battery in your Oculus Quest 2 controller, you can put the cover back on. You can do this by applying a little pressure to the top of the cover. Be careful not to damage the plastic cover. Do not try to pull it out with your fingers, as it can be very hard to do.
If you are not sure what to do with the battery after it is removed, call Oculus support. They will answer your question within two days. Afterward, you should dispose the old batteries in accordance with all laws.
Oculus Quest 2 controllers are not equipped with a built-in charger. However, you can buy a charging dock to ensure that your controller can be recharged. A USB-C cable is also available. Or, you can use a USB cable that has been purchased specifically for your controller.
